Days passing by helping the ones young in heart grow old by age...I finally decided to surrender and end my fully lived bachelor life...My folks at home checked with me if I had seen someone for myself as a life partner..And I " awwed "them by telling that their selection and wish is mine and got hitched on 4th March 2012 , Sunday in Bangalore - Ranganathaswamy Kalyana Mandapam with a sweet young girl named Lakshmi who walked into my life bringing all the luck of her life:)
We got married as per the rituals of Tambrahms and patiently sat through all the rituals. Post the wedding we were driven back home in my friend - Mohan's luxurious Pajero where Luckshme was sitting with tears in her eyes ready to roll down her cheeks missing her family. The next day was the rest day followed by wedding registration in Banaswadi Registrar's office. We also had a pooja named Manglipondugal at home for the long living of the married women in the family.
We left Bangalore on 7th March 2012 by train and headed to Kochuveli the next morning and were received by a Chauffer in the morning in Leela Palace's luxurious sedan. We were driven directly to the luxurious Leela Kovalam on 8th March 2012 morning. We started with the breakfast in the all day dining restaurant there, even before the check in. Then we were showed our beach view superior room with a balcony facing the beach. Both of us really liked the room with pure white linen and the antiques in the room added to the ambience of the room.
We tried out all the F&B outlets in the hotel and relished walking in the HOWA beach wherein I bought Lakshmi the first dress in her 21 years of life as she had never tried out wearing a one piece dress in Mumbai (as that's where she hails from).
She was really happy staying there and has already told me to take her there once again in our lives:) After two days of luxurious lovely days with each other , we headed to Alapuzha, now known as Aleppey to get on the house boat for a day and a night. It was the first time in her life that she had got into a houseboat and my first time with my better half wherein we had enough time to talk and understand each other better. We enjoyed the entire scenery of the back waters of Kerala to the fullest. Following day morning we were left at the finishing point in Alleppey and we took a cab from there and headed to Momgombu Devi temple, wherein we prayed for the rest of our lives;) and went to visit Dr.Murthy and his wife at their residence. We got their blessings and moved on to Kidangoor (Ma home town , Kottayam) in the same cab.
We lazed around at my hometown for a week enjoying every bit of the summer there and also tried out special delicacies like the Jackfruit Puzhukku, Jack fruit chips etc. We also managed to visit relatives in and around that part of the town and also visited Kidangoor/Ettumanoor/Kaduthuruthy/Vaikkom temples.
Left Kidangoor after a week and headed to visit my cuzin sistha (sudarshana) in Quilon. She and her in laws and husband were a wonderful set of hosts. They also showed us around the light house, anchorage and the beach in Quilon. I bought a beautiful set saree for Lakshmi from a shop named Aiyappa;s there......We stayed the night and next night at 11.30pm, we headed to Coimbatore to visist my brother's family
To be continued....
